The idea to build a scientific museum in Valencia emerged in 1989. Two Spanish architects designed the project.

Construction began 5 years later, in 1994; and the first complex was inaugurated in April 1998, The Hemisfèric. 

El Museum de les Ciències Priíncipe Felipe followed and was open in 2000. The Largest aquarium in Europe, l’ Oceanographic, opened in December 2002.

Finally, El Palau de Les Arts Reina Sofia, Valencia Opera House, opened in October 2005.
